Santa Cruz Film Festival Presents: DOSED

4:45pm at DNAs Comedy Club
(formerly Riverfront Twin)
155 S River Street, Santa Cruz, CA

Come early to meet with members of Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and there will be an audience Q&A after the movie that will include experts and community leaders talking about therapeutic and medical uses for psychedelics (including me!):

The movie will be followed by an audience Q&A time and I’ll be on the panel.  Why have I been asked to talk about psychedelic-assisted therapy, you might ask?  I am currently enrolled as a student in the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research Certificate Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco.  There are currently FDA-approved clinical trials underway that are showing very promising results with psychedelic-assisted therapies for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, addiction, and PTSD.  The results are so promising that therapists (including me) are already training to do this sacred work.  Although psychedelic-assisted therapy is still illegal in the US outside of the FDA-approved studies, all signs point to it being slowly legalized in the next years.  This documentary is a great example of the possibilities that psychedelic-assisted therapies hold.  Please come out and learn about this exciting field and consider adding your support to the legalization movement.
